After installing

Four steps, then you are ready for your first call.

  1. Allow Microphone.
  2. Allow Screen & System Audio Recording, then reopen the app.
  3. Add a key or choose free Gemini / offline.
  4. Press ⌘\ to show the overlay.

Requirements and notes

macOS app
macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel. About 200 MB of disk space.
Web app
Desktop Chrome, Edge, Arc or Brave. Pop-out needs Chrome 116 or later.
Permissions
Microphone, and Screen & System Audio Recording for the interviewer side.
AI provider
Your own Claude, OpenAI or Deepgram key, a free Gemini key, or offline Whisper and Ollama.

Good to know: macOS shows its own recording indicator while Dertos AI listens; that's expected, and no app can hide it.

Use Dertos where AI assistance is allowed. Check your interview's or meeting's rules first.
