What the app stores

Dertos AI stores everything on your computer, in your user's Application Support folder:

• Settings, including profiles, the job description, company notes and custom instructions.
• History: transcripts, questions, answers, ratings and AI notes for each session.
• Documents you add to a profile (resume, notes) and the chunks made from them.
• Screenshots taken for coding questions.
• API keys, encrypted with your macOS Keychain. They are never shown again, logged or exported.

What leaves your device

The only network traffic is your own requests to the transcription and AI providers you choose (for example Deepgram, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). Those requests include the audio or transcript, the parts of your documents relevant to a question, and any screenshots you solve. Each provider's own terms apply to that data.

In offline mode (Whisper and Ollama) nothing leaves your machine. Your Dertos AI account (sign-in, plan and minutes used) is handled by the Dertos API, which records session times and minutes but never your transcripts, questions, answers, resume or documents.

This website

This website loads no third-party scripts. It keeps your theme choice and, if you sign in, a small "signed in" flag in your browser's local storage. Signing in sets cookies from the Dertos API that keep you logged in and protect forms against cross-site requests; they are not used for tracking.

Analytics are off until you allow them. If you click "Allow analytics", we set a random id (dt_aid, 1 year) and count anonymous page visits, sign-up starts and app downloads, with the campaign tags and referring site of your first visit. We never record your name, email, IP address, what you type or anything from your calls. If your browser sends Do Not Track, nothing is collected. You can change your choice any time with "Analytics settings" at the bottom of every page; declining deletes the id.

The notify-me forms for Windows and the web app are not connected yet and store nothing.

Accounts and payments

Your account stores your email, name, sign-in methods, plan, credit balance, devices you signed in from, and the start time and length of each session. Payments go through our payment provider; we keep the date, amount, plan and status of each payment, never your card or UPI details. You can delete your account from the Account page; payment records are kept without your name or email. (Placeholder: the provider, retention periods and grievance officer details must be confirmed before launch.)

Your choices

• Delete any session, or all history, from Settings → Privacy & data.
• Turn on auto-delete after a number of days.
• Switch any document off with its include switch, or remove it.
• Use offline mode to keep all processing on your computer.
